Award Winning Music Program Allows Student Talent
to Soar at Hillcrest Christian
By:

With music programs disappearing from school
curriculums all over the San Fernando Valley,
students flock to Hillcrest Christian School
to participate in its internationally renowned
choir under the tutelage of award winning director
Galen Clark.
Last spring the high school choir, along with
school staff members and parent chaperones, toured
England and Ireland where they performed in some
of the oldest and most beautiful cathedrals in
the world. “We are looking forward to touring
again”, says Clark who anticipates coordinating
another European tour in the spring of 2008.
The choir also participates in local and national
competitions. Multitudes of shining trophies
adorn the halls of Hillcrest highlighting their
talents.
High school and middle school students are
not the only children enjoying the availability
of music courses at Hillcrest. Music classes
are part of the weekly curriculum for all students,
kindergarten through 5th grade. Hillcrest also
offers an elementary choir and an after school
music academy where private and group lessons
are available for students interested in learning
guitar, piano, drums, violin or brass instruments.
To experience the magic of the Hillcrest choir
join them for their free spring concert on Thursday
May 24 at 7:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Church
19700 Rinaldi Street Porter Ranch 91326. Hillcrest
is currently accepting enrollment applications
for grades K-12 for the 2007/2008 school year.
